The school was opened on September 1, 1984. The first director was Pekarskaya Lidiya Mihaylovna, Officer of the Order of the Red Banner, the Excellent Education of the USSR, the Excellent Public Education of the BSSR.

In a short time a group of associates has been created.

Among the teachers of the school were the real masters of pedagogical work: teachers of the Belarusian language Bogdanchuk Maria Danilovna, Levchik Maria Ivanovna, a teacher of the Russian language Prokopenko (Ovsyanik) Zinaida V., Poleschuk Anastasiya Vasilevna, Maths teacher Chepikova Zinaida Pavlovna, Pasko Maria Alexandrovna, Vlasova Lyudmila Borisovna, Elementary teacher classes Aleshko Serafima Vasilevna, Yakimovich Svetlana Mihaylovna, History teacher Sluchko Anastasiya Ignatevna, Geography teacher Zamulova Alla Petrovna, a teacher of Biology Kuhrenko Aleksandr Demyanovich, a teacher of basic Military Training Milushkin Yuri Sergeyevich, a teacher Arts Lagonda Maria Feliksovna.

In 1988, the school won first place in the All-Union competition of secondary schools. Within two years, the school was visited by the delegation of 167 teaching staff from different regions of the Soviet Union to study the experience of the organization of the educational process, as well as familiarization with the aesthetic design of the school.

Headmaster L.M.Pekarskaya was awarded the title of Honored Worker of the Belarusian SSR.

School team is constantly working in the development way.

From 1996 to 2001, secondary school N°3 is an experimental platform of the Academy of Postgraduate Education on the issue of creating an open educational system. In 1998 the author of school pupils education program has been recognized as the best in the Grodno region.

On the basis of school repeatedly held seminars and events, not only the district, but the regional and national levels.

School’s life plans and directs the school council - the supreme body of co-management of children, teachers, parents, which was established October 4,1994.

     In 2005, the decision of the School Board created the Board of Trustees, consisting of the representatives of the patronage of enterprises, teachers, students, parents.
